The most compelling PowerPoint tips I have ever come across

“The audience has come to hear you, not merely to stare at images tossed onto a screen”, says Jeff in his article: “Presenting with PowerPoint: 10 dos and don’ts”. There are more useful tips here.

Guy Kavasaki has an interesting post on powerpoint here. He calls it the “The 10/20/30 Rule of PowerPoint” – a PowerPoint presentation should have ten slides, last no more than 20 minutes, and contain no font smaller than 30 points.

garrreynolds.com has 10 useful presentation delivery tips here. Among others, don’t forget this useful PowerPoint tip – “Remember the B Key!” – “If you press the “B” key while your PowerPoint or Keynote slide is showing, the screen will go blank. This is useful if you need to digress or move off the topic presented on the slide. By having the slide blank, all the attention can now be placed back on you. When you are ready to move on, just press the “B” key again and the image reappears”.
